Da’Velle “Cadillac” Smith delivered a commanding performance at Zeus Fight Night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, defeating hometown fighter Hakim Lopez in the sixth round of their super-middleweight matchup.
The referee ended the fight one minute and 44 seconds into the sixth round after Smith caught Lopez with a rapid left jab followed by a powerful right hand. The Zeus Network victory improved Smith’s record to 15-0 and marked the 10th knockout of his professional career.
The super middleweight matchup brought together two fighters looking to advance to the next stage of their careers. Smith entered the ring representing Detroit with an unbeaten 14-0 record, while Atlanta’s Lopez entered at 16-1 with the support of his hometown crowd.
Smith established control early by using his reach to keep Lopez at a distance. He remained patient, moved confidently around the ring and repeatedly landed his left jab as Lopez searched for a way to get closer.
